a day to remember...

what is there to remember on this day??? 

hmmm.... well the day was rather ordinary.. except when these bunch of young people interrupted my quite boring saturday sked... I'd say boring because after having the NAT review in the morning, i would usually be in a classroom attending my postgrad classes (you know the usual reporting type...) I mean i like to be in school but then because of the very stressful activities that i've had for the past weeks.. the least thing that i wanted to do would be sitting down and listening to a highly intellectual discussion.. HUH!

anyways, i promised these kids that i'll treat them out for making the teachers' day this year as the one of the BEST and exciting ever! My idea of fun was to have lunch with them then that's it... little did i know that they have other things in mind.... to my surprise.. i ended up singing in a VIDEOKE in front of  my pupils!!! singing my heart out loud to the song of CRAZY FOR YOU!!! (that song!!! hahaha) which i wouldn't normally do.. i felt like my blood was rushing into my face because of shame... (hehehe) then i said that will be it because i had to leave for my classes... but then... i found myself riding a tricycle going to embarcadero with chips and soda and this funny bunch... the sound of the splashing water was truly therapeutic..the fresh air was just so calming.... just what I NEEDED!!! well i even got a bonus... i had a GOOD LAUGH.. i was like laughing every single second... just listening to their stories and exchange of thoughts (on money matters.. the piso and singko... hahaha) well, there was also some light moments when they would talk about their crushes and school and family...   those were the moments when i had a sudden FLASHBACK about my own younger days... i sighed.... and i'm HAPPY that i had the TIME of my LIFE... 

and oh... the pictures will say it all.. that it is indeed a day to remember... 

being with these young people made me realize so many things... i have been sooo preoccupied by a lot of things... and i would often look for complicated ways to be happy... just "wasting" some time doing some simple, crazy stuff will make me happy too... and that i dont have to engage myself into intellectual debates or arguments just so i can prove my point and be with people... SIMPLE THINGS CAN BE PERFECT!!!

i'm glad i skipped school that day (well, honestly... it's the first time that i did that! well..i was a goody two-shoes..hahaha..) it was just the RIGHT KIND OF FUN that i was looking for and i'm delighted i spent it with rik, wilfredo, earl, carmela, jake, bianca and daniela... to you all.. THANK YOU!!!
